Updated: 2 months ago
Location: Melbourne, VICTORIA
Deadline: 19 Feb 2024

Background

Scholarship code: SRS-24008

La Trobe University and Northern Health have collaborated to offer a PhD scholarship for three and a half years for a staff member employed within Northern Health.

The focus of this project is telehealth – and how telehealth can play a greater role in health service provision to the Northern Health communities, with an aim to ultimately improve the health of these communities. The PhD scholarship is designed to equip the successful candidate with the relevant skills and experience to design and conduct research, and apply their findings to real world contexts.

The successful candidate will work on the project with their supervisors at La Trobe University and co-supervisors from Northern Health, and will ideally also be employed at Northern Health for one day per week to work either clinically or in their usual role.

The telehealth project topic will be determined in collaboration between Northern Health and La Trobe University and will have sufficient scope to result in an examinable thesis, which the successful candidate will produce to fulfill the requirement of their degree.
