Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Scholarships Specialist to join Student Administration, Student Services and Wellbeing, Administrative Division.

This position coordinates initiatives and activities for the scholarships team, provides support to the Coordinator and oversees competitive scholarship offer processes. The role involves using reporting tools, creating reports, and working with QUT's systems and stakeholders to deliver a range of services relevant to the scholarships lifecycle and is responsible for delivering excellent student services through the implementation of efficient student-centric scholarships systems and practices. The role is also required to coordinate and participate in marketing and recruitment events.

The position sits within the Student Services and Wellbeing portfolio and delivers services across the student lifecycle and is part of Student Administration area. Student Administration makes a key contribution to the delivery of student services across QUT. The Scholarships team within Student Administration manages a range of administrative activities to assist faculties and stakeholders implement Scholarships, Prizes and Awards, to insure a student centric approach. The team is involved in managing scholarship offers to new QUT students and Equity Scholarships to existing students..

What you need to succeed

  • Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a degree together with at least four (4) years’ relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team that achieves outstanding outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities across a range of initiatives.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to implement innovative service improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate at a high level, compile complex reports and present to a highly educated audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, build and maintain relationships across staff, colleagues, networks and other external bodies to support and achieve business outcomes.
