At a glance
This PhD scholarship provides an opportunity for the candidate to work in conjunction with the supervisors to shape an examination of a contemporary ethical issue in the world of business. Potential topic areas include ethics and the meaning of work; ethics, technology and artificial intelligence in the world of work; ethics and modern slavery, and; ethics and leadership. This is not an exhaustive list of potential topic areas and candidates may develop another area of particular interest to study in conjunction with the supervisors.
Eligibility guidelines
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must;
- Have an undergraduate degree in business or a related discipline and a degree that would enable entry into the PhD program (e.g.an honours degree featuring an additional year of study or a Masters degree with a significant research component).
- Meet the entry requirements in terms of English language proficiency.
Selection criteria
- Capacity to develop a project proposal that aligns with the societal impact focus outlined in the project brief
- Evidence of excellent interpersonal, communication and scientific writing skills
- Evidence of research level English language proficiency
- Have relevant experience in quantitative and/or qualitative analysis
- Have knowledge or a keen interest in business education, PRiME and corporate social responsibility.
- A strong teamwork ethic and good understanding of project management.

Applicants will be shortlisted for an in-person interview.
