Background
La Trobe's Regional Benefits Program empowers high achieving students from regional communities to live, study and thrive in regional Victoria. This program is available to students commencing their undergraduate studies from 2024 onwards who have applied via the 2023-2024 VTAC/UAC (or state Tertiary Admissions Centre) intake.
Are you eligible to apply?
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- have completed Years 11 and 12 at a school in an area classified by the Australian Standard Geographical Classification Remoteness Area (ASGC-RA) as RA2 to RA5 (check the 2016 box next the "ASGS Remoteness Areas")
- have applied for a La Trobe University course via the 2023-2024 VTAC/UAC (or state Tertiary Admissions Centre) intake
- have completed year 12 within the last 3 years with no more than 2 gap years. To reiterate: recipients must have applied for a La Trobe University course via the 2023-2024 VTAC/UAC (or state Tertiary Admissions Centre) intake.
- have scored an ATAR of 80 or higher (85 for Physiotherapy - Regional Entry and Dentistry - Regional Entry) - not including adjustment factors
- have met all the subject-specific prerequisites and enrol at one of La Trobe's regional campuses.
If you have completed any form of higher education study you do not qualify for this program. The Regional Benefits Program is specifically for recent school leavers that have not completed higher education.
There is no application process for this scholarship, if you are eligible you will be considered upon course application.

There is no application process for this scholarship.
To be considered you must list a regional La Trobe University course on your VTAC/UAC (or state Tertiary Admissions Centre) course preference list and achieve an ATAR of 80 or higher (85 for Physiotherapy - Regional Entry and Dentistry - Regional Entry).
Offers will be made via email from late December onwards.
The Terms and Conditions of the scholarship will be clearly stated in the offer email.
