Swinburne has an international reputation for research excellence, innovation and impact through active research engagement with industry, business and the community. Our commitment to high-quality teaching and research is reflected in our place within a number of prestigious world academic rankings.
We are looking for a PhD student to work on an exciting program of research in Body Dysmorphic Disorder. As our PhD student, you will be located within Swinburne’s Centre for Mental Health, and have the opportunity to work with researchers and other students in the centre. In particular, you will be a member of the Cognitive Neuropsychiatry Lab headed by Prof Susan Rossell, where we conduct innovative and rigorous research into an array of disorders, ranging from psychosis to body image, utilising advanced and complementary methodologies, often leveraging off a broad, symptoms-based approach. We expect this novel project will spearhead budding research and clinical interest in multimodal hallucinations in psychosis, and offer potential clinical and therapeutic implications.

• At least a Bachelor degree (with First Class Honours) in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Neuroscience, Neuroimaging or other relevant mental health-related discipline
• Excellent academic (written and oral), interpersonal and team-working skills
• Existing knowledge and/or experience in mental health
• Existing knowledge and/or experience in neuroimaging/neuroscience
A full list of the selection criteria can be found in the position description.
