About the Scholarship
Swinburne University of Technology has launched MedTechVic, a new initiative focusing on the co-creation, development and delivery of enabling technologies for people who live with disability. As part of this initiative a scholarship is available within the School of Health for a student to undertake a PhD
We are seeking a motivated, curious and flexible PhD candidate. You will have a keen interest in the lived experience of people living with disability along with an interest in improving technology design and usability for end-users. Working with key stakeholders you will take part in an Australia-first partnership between industry, end users, community and multidisplinary researchers to chart a new route for the creation of platforms and services that meet the needs of people living with disability and enable them to live their lives and achieve their goals.
About You
To be successful in the role you will have:
- an interest in enabling technologies
- an aptitude for solution-focused, user-informed research.
- enjoy working both independently and as part of a broader multi-disciplinary team.
Qualifications
An Honours or Masters degree in a related area or a combination of relevant study and work experience.
