This scholarship is jointly funded by a leading computer vision company in Australia and the STEM College of RMIT University. The research includes investigation into automated product quality inspection processes in food packaging to minimise waste and support sustainability.

$32,841 per annum for three years, with a possible extension of six months (full-time).

Applicants must have a first-class or H1 honours degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent in a related discipline.

Applicants must satisfy RMIT University’s PhD entry requirements.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong computational, programming, algorithms, and data analysis skills
    • Outstanding research skills
    • Capacity to work independently and as a part of a team

    Applicants with the following knowledge and/or experience are highly preferred:

    • Computer Vision, Signal Processing, Machine Learning knowledge and/or;
    • Experience Industry knowledge and/or;
    • A track record of published (or at least submitted) research articles.
