PhD Scholarship in Circular Economy of Fashion and Textiles

Updated: about 8 hours ago
Location: Melbourne, VICTORIA
Deadline: The position may have been removed or expired!

As a means to address unsustainable resource consumption and waste generation in the fashion and textiles industry, the transition to a Circular Economy (CE) has become pivotal in Australia. Transitioning to a CE will require the growth and support of an industry focussed approach.

This project will involve:  a literature review; followed by quantitative and qualitative research (surveys, interviews/focus groups) with industry, government and research bodies aimed at identifying systematic intervention; followed by an analysis of Product LCA to update, with the final research aim being to identify and reform options and investigate potential mechanisms, processes and organisations through which systematic change can ideally be influenced and achieved.
