Deadline: The position may have been removed or expired!

I supervise a wide range of projects in experimental particle physics.                  This work is carried out within the international collaboration: COMET (COherent Muont-to-Electron Transition).                  As a member of my team, you will have the opportunity to interact with international researchers throughout around the world.                  Students in my group will be involved in developing and testing advanced particle detectors and electronics,                  learning the modern data analysis with either simulation or real data in COMET to search for the muon rare process.                  Occasionally, we perform test-beam measurements at the Australian Synchrotron,                  and students will have chance to interact with national leading accelerator reserachers as well.

  • "Searching for new physics with muons in COMET" (with Prof Jordan Nash)
  • "Development of a particle timing detector system in COMET" (with Prof Jordan Nash)
  • "Development of a fast and efficient trigger system with machine-learning techniques in COMET"
