Deadline: The position may have been removed or expired!

Our research delves into the dynamic field of topological insulators and the precise fabrication of heterostructures. Through the meticulous layer-by-layer growth and strategic stacking of 2D materials, we engineer artificial materials with customized electronic properties. As a member of our team you will unveil the mysteries of new materials, exploring their rich properties and their potential applications.

You will have the opportunity to learn and master the advanced techniques required for the preparation of heterostructures, including Molecular Beam Epitaxy and/or Scotch tape stacking. Additionally, you will get experience in characterizing these materials using a range of techniques, including Low-Temperature Scanning Tunnelling Microscopy (LT-STM). This research is carried out within the ARC Centre of Excellence in Future Low-Energy Electronic Technologies.
