This scholarships aims to support young people of the Peel region reduce the financial pressure and the living and study costs associated with attending university.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • a resident of the Peel region (that is you reside in areas with the postcode of either 6121; 6122; 6123; 6124; 6125; 6126; 6180; 6181; 6207; 6208; 6209; 6210; 6211; 6213; 6214; 6215; 6390)
  • be enrolled full-time in your first year of any Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Nursing (BNurs) degree.
  • be under 21 years of age.

Students facing financial and/or personal hardship are encouraged to apply.


How to Apply

Complete the online application form and attach the required documents by the closing date. 


Required Documents

This scholarship requires you to provide the following documents: 

  • completed application form 
  • a personal statement of no more than 300 words, outlining:
    • your exceptional personal circumstances 
    • any barriers in relation to your study and their impact. 
  • one written reference by a person (not related to you) from your local community able to comment on your character and commitment to community. 

Payment Method

Instalments of $1,500 per semester paid in Week 7 or 8 of each semester for a period of 3 years
