The Narn gon, Ngarn kula Indigenous Graduate Researcher Publishing Payment was established with a gift from the Duncan Leary Bequest and is available to Indigenous graduate researchers in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Science while awaiting the outcome of their PhD thesis.

Benefits

This award provides a fortnightly payment with a rate of approximately $2150 per fortnight for six months.

Note: These payments are taxable income and must be declared in your Tax Return.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility

To be eligible for this award, you must:

• Be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person by descent, identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and be accepted as such by the community in which you live or have lived
• Have been enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences
• Have submitted your thesis for examination.

The award is offered to all eligible candidates.
