About this scholarship

This accommodation scholarship supports students commencing undergraduate studies at any of ACU’s Sydney based campuses. The scholarship will be awarded to those students who best demonstrate their personal alignment with ACU's Mission and Values .

  • This scholarship is valued at up to $11,050, paid towards the fees of a 12-month rental agreement in a National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) studio, premium studio, or multi-share apartment at ACU Miguel Cordero Residence  in Camperdown. 
  • Recipients will also be given the opportunity to be involved in Campus Ministry formation, as well as team building and mission-based activities within the Miguel Cordero Residence and on campus. 
  • There are 10 scholarships available.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to commencing students who meet all of the following criteria:

  • Course: any ACU undergraduate degree  
  • Campus: North Sydney, Strathfield or Blacktown 
  • Can demonstrate engagement activities that align with ACU's Mission and Values  

 


Application process

Applicants will be required to provide the following as part of the application:

  • A written statement of approximately 200 words outlining:
    • how you engage with your school and /or local community, and  
    • how this aligns with ACU's Mission and Values . 
  • A letter in support of the actions outlined in your written statement (this may be from a Principal, teacher, community or religious leader). 
  • (if relevant) Evidence of your regional, rural or remote address.  

 


Selection criteria

Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:

  • Written statement 
  • Alignment to ACU’s Mission and Values 
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have relocated from a regional, rural or remote location.

 


Selection process

The recipients will be selected by the ACU Scholarships Office 

 


Ongoing requirements

To remain eligible for this scholarship, recipients are required to maintain the following: 

  • Minimum pass grade for all units attempted 
  • Enrolment at the North Sydney, Strathfield or Blacktown  campus
