Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) PhD Top-Up Scholarships

Background

JDRF Australia is dedicated to advancing cutting-edge research in Type 1 Diabetes (T1D), with a strong emphasis on nurturing the development of talented emerging researchers in the field.

JDRF Australia is inviting applications for the PhD Top-up Scholarship. The Scholarship is designed to support and encourage PhD students pursuing research in the field of T1D in line with JDRF’s mission – to treat, prevent and cure T1D.

The Scholarship will provide successful candidates with additional funding, on top of their PhD stipend, full-time or pro-rated part-time, contingent to satisfactory progress.

Funding

Up to $6,000 per year for a maximum of 3 years.

The final step in the application process is for the Adelaide Graduate Research School (on behalf of the administering institution) to certify all applications to JDRF via RMS360.  When completing their application online, applicants should list 'Emma Aucote - [email protected]' as the RO contact for University of Adelaide Postgraduate Scholarship applications.

Timeline

6 May 2024 - (Internal) University deadline – All applications must be submitted to JDRF (via RMS360 system) by the Adelaide Graduate Research School.To ensure applications can be submitted to JDRF prior to their deadline, applicants must ensure their application is finalised in RMS360 by 6 May 2024. There is no guarantee that applications finalised after this date will be submitted by AGRS before the JDRF deadline.

9 May 2024 – (External) JRDF deadline – Deadline for submission of all applications to JDRF via RMS360.
