ACU International has specific responsibility for the recruitment, admission and ongoing support of international students at ACU in addition to managing global partnership collaboration and inbound and outbound exchange and study abroad programs.

As the International Student Adviser, you’ll act as the nominated contact for international students on campus to provide ongoing advice, support, guidance and appropriate referral in relation to student life in Australia; including addressing personal issues, academic performance and student visa matters.

More specifically the role entails:

  • Working as part of a team to support international students on campus as required under the Educational Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000
  • Developing and conducting orientation programs and resources on campus for commencing students
  • Assisting the Senior Compliance Coordinator in monitoring student compliance in accordance with DESE/DHA student visa policy and regulations.

You will need to have:

  • A bachelor degree in a relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work independently to support students experiencing significant personal issues impacting on their personal and academic lives
  • Evidence of ability to show commitment with integrity to the Catholic Identity, Mission and ethos of the University.

Total remuneration valued to $95,101 total rem - $102,196 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $80,362 - $86,357 (pro rata) pa (Higher Education Worker Level 6), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
