Description

The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and support first or second year students from a regional area who may have experienced financial disadvantage to pursue studies in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Queensland.

The scholarship is maintained by an annual gift from HUB24.


Eligibility

 

To be eligible, you must: 

  • have completed Year 12 in a regional area or as a boarder whilst having a permanent adress in a regional area
  • be able to demonstrate financial disadvantage
  • be enrolled in an approved program in the first or second year and, where applicable, in the relevant field in the year of award.

Approved Program means the Bachelor of Computer Science or the Bachelor of Information Technology or the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), an engineering integrated program or a dual program including any one of these programs.

Relevant Discipline means a software engineering major or specialisation or electrical specialisation with a major in computer engineering or an electrical and computer engineering dual major.

Regional Area means an area deemed regional by the Head outside of Queensland, or all of Queensland except those areas encompassed by the following local government areas-

  • Brisbane City Council
  • Gold Coast City
  • Ipswich City
  • Logan City
  • Moreton Bay Regional
  • Redland City

Additional benefits

Agility may offer the recipient the following opportunities:

  • an ambassadorial role to attend select networking functions;
  • work or vacation experience at any Agility site during the period in which the recipient holds the Scholarship, determined by Agility in consultation with the recipient; and
  • mentoring and networking opportunites with Agility staff members, determined by Agility in consultation with the recipient.
