What you'll receive
You'll receive:
- a $7,500 scholarship for one year.
Eligibility
You must be one of:
- an Australian citizen (including dual citizens)
- a permanent resident of Australia
- a permanent humanitarian visa holder
- a New Zealand citizen.
You must also be:
- from a low-income background
- experiencing financial hardship
- enrolled in or applying for an undergraduate degree.

Complete an application to the Equity Scholarships Scheme .
What happens next?
All applications are assessed against selection criteria. We allocate scholarships based on need. Students with the greatest need will receive the highest value scholarships.
About the scholarship
Heather and Peter Howes decided to make their kind donation to the QUT Learning Potential Fund because Queensland Institute of Technology (QIT), now QUT, has played a very pivotal role in their professional and personal lives.
