Holocyte PhD Scholarship - Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials

Holocyte Pty Ltd is providing a University of Adelaide Research Scholarship to support a full-time PhD student who is commencing research in the field of Polysaccharide-based double-grid structure pore-size-adjustable materials & its applications. We seek applications from students with relevant qualifications in the fields of Chemistry, Chemical physics or the Life sciences (biology).

Eligibility:

Applicants are open to Australian citizens, permanent residents and international students who are acceptable as candidates for a PhD degree at the University of Adelaide.

Stipend:

The University of Adelaide Research Scholarship will be paid for 3.5 years at a stipend rate of $32,500 per annum (indexed annually). It is likely to be tax exempt, subject to Taxation Office approval. International students will receive single overseas student health cover for the duration of candidature, and a relocation allowance (if applicable). Details of terms and benefits will be provided to the successful candidate in their Conditions of Award.

  • Evidence of Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent resident status (if applicable)
  • Degree certificates (testamurs or official proof for graduating students)
  • Academic transcripts
  • Translations of non-English documentation
  • Evidence of English language proficiency (IELTS or TOEFL)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • A personal statement
  • Published papers as the first author (if any)
  • Three letters of recommendation (at least two from direct supervisors)

Please note that any scholarship offer is conditional on an agreement being finalised between the University and the Industry Partner (Holocyte).
