The Halim Family Women in Science Scholarship is worth $5,000 per year ($2,500 per semester) for the standard duration of program.



The Halim Family Women in Science Scholarship is worth $5,000 per year ($2,500 per semester) for the standard duration of program.



To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident or a permanent humanitarian visa holder
  • identify as a woman
  • be enrolled full-time in semester 2 2023 in one of the following programs:
    • Bachelor of Science (BP229)
    • Bachelor of Science (BP350)
    • Bachelor of Space Science (BP330)
    • Bachelor of Geospatial Science (Honours) (BH117)
    • Bachelor of Applied Science (Surveying) (Honours) (BH116)
    • Bachelor of Data Science (BP340)
    • Bachelor of Science (Applied Mathematics and Statistics) (BP083)
    • Bachelor of Science (Food Technology and Nutrition) (BP199)
    • Bachelor of Environmental Science (BP192)
    • Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology) (BP226)
  • be able to demonstrate circumstance/s which impact your ability to study such as:
    • receiving a government tested low income benefit or having a Centrelink Health Care Card
    • having a long-term medical condition or disability 
    • experiencing personal/family/social difficulties
    • be from an interstate or rural/regional area and moving/moved to Melbourne to study at RMIT
    • have previously/are currently living in foster/kinship care or are a ward of the state
    • be from an under-represented background such as
      • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
      • were born overseas, are from a non-English speaking background and recently migrated to Australia
      • are a current or former refugee
      • have completed your secondary education at a Schools Network Access Program  school.
