If you are Indigenous and enrolling in the Master of Photography, this scholarship could provide assistance for two years and a presentation at the PHOTO Festival.
The Gerard Driesen Indigenous Master of Photography Scholarship provides up to $10,000 per year for up to two years (the standard duration of program).
The Scholarship Recipient will have a selection of their work exhibited as part of the PHOTO Festival most closely aligned to their graduation year, supported by Photo Australia.
The successful recipient will also have access to the Photo Australia team for industry experience support, mentoring and advice.

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- be an Australian citizen
- be enrolling full-time in 2023 in the Master of Photography (MC270)
- have at least one year of study left to complete
- demonstrated passion for the industry (shown through your selection tasks activities for admission into Master of Photography (MC270)
- register with RMIT’s Ngarara Willim Centre and provide documentation showing that you are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander by the application close date.
