Fritz Janeba Travelling Scholarship
This scholarship supports Master of Architecture alumni. The scholarship will fund alumni and/or alumni who are current graduate research students in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning to pursue studies in design for up to 12 months at overseas universities or other overseas academic institutes.

Eligibility & selection criteria
EligibilityTo be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- be a graduate of the Master of Architecture (or its equivalent, ie Bachelor of Architecture prior to introduction of the Melbourne Model in 2008) from the University of Melbourne
OR
- be a graduate of the Master of Architecture (or its equivalent) from the University of Melbourne and are currently undertaking a course for a higher degree (MPhil or PhD) in the faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning
In addition, you must either
- be considering pursuing or
- have received an offer to undertake
graduate level studies or research in the field of Design.
Selection criteriaEligible applicants are assessed on performance at interview and the rigour of their online application which will include, but is not limited to:
- an Expression of Interest highlighting their innovative ideas in approach to Architecture
- proposed study destination
- proposed travel budget
- academic or professional reference(s)

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview.

When will I know the outcome?
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted to attend an interview within 2 weeks of applications closing. Successful applicants will be advised within 4 weeks of applications closing.
What are the benefits?
The scholarship offers a one-off payment of approximately $20,000. The amount may increase or decrease depending on proposed budget and duration of studies.
