The Policy and Impact Portfolio provides focus and momentum for the projects and priorities that were identified in Ready for Life and Work: RMIT’s Strategic Plan to 2020.

This position will sit within RMIT Activator and is the centre of innovation and Entrepreneurial gravity at RMIT, leveraging the incredible assets of the premier University of design, technology and enterprise to create enduring impact.

About You

As Digital Content Producer you will be responsible for producing innovative video content, animations, photography and gamification across various channels to advance Activators capacity to provide outstanding educational experiences and engagement opportunities to all our audiences.

You will required to produce innovative video content, animations, photography and even gamification across various channels and advance Activator’s capacity to provide outstanding educational experiences and engagement opportunities to all our audiences. In this full time role, you will be responsible for end-to-end production of high quality content which meets both editorial expectations and business objectives in a fast paced agile environment.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:

  • Must identify as an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person  

  • Operational knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, specifically with Premiere Pro, Encoder, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom.

  • Experience in filming and post-production, ability to edit existing footage and use it to generate new and exciting content pieces

  • Strong production management ability including organising and scheduling capabilities.

  • Experience and understanding of the different specifications required for specific advertising and organic platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc)

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively and manage multiple projects concurrently, and consistently deliver to deadlines

  • High level of interpersonal skills for interactions with internal and external stakeholders Avid learner with a growth mindset and a passion for self-development

  • Experience working with CRM software (preferred but not essential) and familiarity with MS suite, Slack, Eventbrite, Zoom, and social media platforms.

Essential Qualifications

Tertiary or equivalent qualification and / or experience in Communications, Media, Social Sciences or related discipline preferred.

Experience working in the start-up ecosystem and communities in and around this ecosystem whether online or in person.
