In recognition of the first year of operations,The Curtin Award has been established by Curtin University to support students residing at St Catherine’s College accommodation at Curtin University, Perth in 2022.
St Catherine’s is a tertiary residential college, offering on-campus accommodation for Perth-based university and TAFE students. St Catherine's College offers the best all-round university living experience in Perth with different accommodation styles to suit students individual needs.

The Curtin Award provides a $7,500 deduction from annual rent for eligible students within St Catherine’s College accommodation at Curtin University, Perth in 2022.
Scholarship Details
To be eligible for the Curtin Award you must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a student studying at Curtin University or be studying at Curtin University through Open Universities Australia in 2022.
- Apply for accommodation at St Catherine’s College, Curtin University before 21 February 2022.
- Enter into a contract for accommodation for a minimum of one semester at St Catherine’s College, Curtin University for 2022.
Please note:
- Proof of enrolment and current student status is required to confirm eligibility with your accommodation provider.
- You are only entitled to one Curtin Award.
- Curtin University may consider exceptions to the eligibility criteria on a case by case basis.
- If you receive other support for your housing from Curtin University, including non-merit based scholarships and bursaries for rent, the Curtin Award will only be applied so that your total support from Curtin University is a $7,500 deduction from your annual rent.
- If you enter more than one contract for student accommodation for 2022, the Curtin Award will only apply to your first eligible student accommodation contract. The Curtin Award will not apply to any subsequent extensions of that contract, or a new contract. If you have received the Curtin Bonus in 2022, you will not be eligible to receive the Curtin Award.
- The Curtin Award is provided by Curtin University based on anticipated demand. The Curtin Award is subject to availability and allocated resources, and Curtin University may withdraw the Curtin Award without notice if demand reaches the allocation. This will not affect any students already receiving the Curtin Award.
Application process
Applicants who meet the criteria will be automatically assessed for the Curtin Award.
