Awards and opportunities

Central to the purpose of the Academy is the recognition and support of outstanding contributions to the advancement of science.


Medals and awards

The honorific awards were established to recognise outstanding contributions to the advancement of science at the early, mid and career level. Career awards recognise life-long achievement. View a list of previous awardees .


Grants and lectures

The Academy supports scientists to undertake research projects as well as travel and lectures at a national and international level. We also maintain a list of external sources of recognition .


Conference funding

The Academy supports research through the sponsorship of research conferences that focus on rapidly developing fields of research.
