About this scholarship
The Scholarship for High Achievement and Performance Engagement (SHAPE) has been developed to reward and assist students who have demonstrated high achievement and performance engagement and want to pursue study at Curtin University. Scholarship for High Achievement and Performance Engagement (SHAPE) recipients are committed to and show a strong desire to learn, demonstrate high-level capability in one or more discipline areas and have high aspirations for themselves.

The Scholarship for High Achievement and Performance Engagement (SHAPE) will provide the following support:
- A one off cash payment of $3,000. The amount can be used at the recipient’s discretion to contribute towards educational related expenses
Scholarship Details
- All undergraduate degrees
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for the Scholarship for High Achievement and Performance Engagement (SHAPE):
- Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian permanent humanitarian or New Zealand citizen
- By the scholarship closing date, selected Curtin University as first or second preference through TISC, or apply for admission to Curtin directly to undertake an undergraduate degree in 2024
- Receive a course offer in main round offers 2024 into the first or second preference course that was listed on TISC or direct entry
- Submit a Personal Statement
- Have completed one or more endorsed Curtin SHAPE activities
Scholarship for High Achievement and Performance Engagement (SHAPE) is deferrable for up to one year.

* UniReady in Schools is currently available with a selected group of high schools around WA. The students in this program must successfully complete the UniReady in Schools program prior to the SHAPE application closing date.
Application process
Step 1: Access online application form
- Applications are to be submitted using the online application form. Access the form by clicking on the ‘Apply Online’ button on the top right-hand side of this page
Step 2: Complete
- Complete the application form online
- Application form can be saved at any point of the process
- Multiple scholarships can be applied for at one time
- Tips on how to complete your application can be found under the Applying for scholarships link on the scholarships website
Step 3: Submit
- Closing date is listed at the top of the page
- Incomplete applications will not be assessed
- Once submitted, application status will change to submitted
Step 4: Receipt
- Application receipt will be sent to the email address provided when you created your Curtin account, once your application has been submitted
Step 5: Assessment
- Applications will be assessed by an assessment panel using the following criteria:
- Receipt of an offer of a place into an undergraduate degree at Curtin University in 2024
- Responses to questions in application form
- ACES participation and completion
- Criteria for Evidence of Learning & Attributes via personal statement and reference
Step 6: Outcome
- Outcome will be sent via the email address listed through TISC after main round course offers (all successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified)
Step 7: Acceptance
- Successful applicants (including those who wish to defer their studies) must return acceptance documents by the deadline specified in the terms and conditions
- Deferral of this scholarship is permitted for up to a maximum of 12 months
Please note:
- Scholarship will be awarded if there are applicants of sufficient merit
