Disclaimer Information - This scholarship is offered and administered by our partner, Global Voices. The information and timeline may be updated in accordance with their update / advice.

Curtin University is supporting a scholarship to attend the 2024 AI for Good Global Summit. The Scholarship Program includes attendance at both a domestic and international delegation, as well as private meetings with subject matter and policy experts, esteemed academics, Commonwealth Government Departmental Secretaries, Members of the Australian Parliament, and leaders of civil-society and private organisations. The program consists of three components:

  • Global Voices Policy Fellowship
  • The Global Voices National Conference (Canberra)
  • Attendance at the 2024 AI for Good Global Summit (May 2024, Geneva, Switzerland)

AI for Good Global Summit

The AI for Good Global Summit is organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in partnership with 40 UN sister agencies, and to-convened with the Government of Switzerland. The Summit is designed to generate 'AI for Good' solutions able to be enacted in the near term, guided by its multi-stakeholder and interdisciplinary audience.

The Policy Fellowship allows the successful applicant to develop research, analysis and policy-writing skills through developing a policy paper related to the delegation agenda. Your paper will include specific recommendations for domestic policy application.

Global Voices is a not-for profit organisation that is committed in nurturing the next generation of Australian leaders by providing practical experience in foreign policy and international relations. Since their establishment in 2011, over two-hundred young people were supported by Global Voices to attend over fifty international summits to represent Australia.
