About this scholarship

Dr Bennett’s NHMRC Investigator Grant will fund co-creation of an mHealth intervention aimed at boosting the provision of social and emotional support to adults with hearing loss. Curtin University will fund a complimentary PhD scholarship.

Despite the potential benefits of digital technologies in hearing rehabilitation services, such as apps for managing hearing loss, remote programming of hearing aids, and wearables that monitor sound exposure, their use by audiologists remains limited. This project's goal is to determine the hurdles and drivers of audiologists' adoption of digital technologies and develop an intervention that would facilitate their adoption and improve hearing rehabilitation services.
