About this scholarship

This project aims to develop and examine the impacts of technology interventions to trigger the pro-environmental behavior of tourists in Australia.   This project will provide tangible benefits for tourism providers, such as national parks, to reduce the environmental burden of tourists on the natural environment. Given the fact that tourism is now rapidly returning worldwide, such interventions are urgently needed to manage the on-going environmental impacts of the tourism industry. 

An Internship opportunity may be available with this project.

The annual scholarship package (stipend and tuition fees) is approx. $60,000 - $70,000 p.a.

 

Successful HDR applicants for admission will receive a 100% fee offset for up to 4 years, stipend scholarships, valued at $28,854 p.a. for up to a maximum of 3.5 years, are determined via a competitive selection process. Applicants will be notified of the scholarship outcome in November 2022.

Scholarship Details

All applicable HDR courses


• Have publications in highly ranked journals (e.g. A* and A ranked journals (ABDC ranking 2019) or SJR Q1)
• Academic Qualifications: Master by Research or Master by coursework (at least 1/4 research
component) with no less than a distinction average.
• Students from all disciplinary backgrounds (e.g. computer sciences, statistics, geography, marketing) are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in big data analytics is highly desirable
