Curtin University is supporting a scholarship to attend the 2022 World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings. The Scholarship Program includes attendance at both a domestic and international delegation, as well as private meetings with subject matter and policy experts, esteemed academics, Commonwealth Government Departmental Secretaries, Members of the Australian Parliament, and leaders of civil-society and private organisations. The program consists of three components:
- Global Voices National Conference
- Participation in the Global Voices Policy Fellowship
- Attendance at the World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings
The Policy Fellowship allows the successful applicant to develop research, analysis and policy-writing skills through developing a policy paper related to the delegation agenda. Your paper will include specific recommendations for domestic policy application.
Global Voices is a not-for profit organisation that is committed in nurturing the next generation of Australian leaders by providing practical experience in foreign policy and international relations. Since their establishment in 2011, over two-hundred young people were supported by Global Voices to attend over fifty international summits to represent Australia.

The scholarship place is fully funded by Curtin University and includes all domestic and international flights, accommodation, breakfasts, visas, insurance, and registration fees (you will need to cover the cost of meals and some transfers).
Scholarship Details
Thematic Focus: Economics and trade, business, development and policy, cyber-security and defence
Study Area: Business, Management and Law; Culture Language and Indigenous; IT and Computing
The Global Voices Scholarship is open to Curtin University students. Candidates must be:
- An Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Aged 18 to 30
- Available to travel to Canberra and Washington D.C., USA for the specified dates
- Able to commit 5 hours a week to completing the Policy Fellowship
This scholarship is ideal for students with an interest in economics and trade, international relations and business. The Program has a strong international element so we encourage young Australians with a global perspective to apply. The successful candidate will be capable and confident presenting to groups, enjoy team work and have excellent communication skills.

* Shortlisted applicants must undertake a phone or Skype interview with a member of the Global Voices Executive Team. You must be available late August to early September 2022
