For 2022, APREF is funding two scholarships to financially support study of a University API accredited degree , specialising in the valuation field.  These scholarships are open to prospective 2022 tertiary students, who are either currently studying Year 12  or are a mature aged applicant.  Applicants must reside in either Tasmania or rural/regional locations, with a scholarship awarded to one student from each location. The scholarship funding will be awarded for the duration of an API accredited property valuation degree.  Recipients will have access to senior property professionals who will act as a mentor, for varying periods, during their studies.

The total value of the scholarship is up to $30,000 paid in installments and to a maximum value of $10,000 in any calendar year. 


Scholarship Details

Bachelor of Commerce (Property Development and Valuation)


To be eligible, students must adhere to the following:

  • The applicant must be accepted into one of the API accredited property valuation degrees to commence full time study in Semester 1, 2022. 
  • The applicant must be an Australian citizen or the holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or Australian permanent humanitarian visa. 
  • For the duration of the Scholarship, the recipient must attend full-time in the API accredited property valuation degree, and 
  • As this Scholarship has been created under the APREF Education Fund, the applicant must meet one or more of the following qualification criteria: 
  • a) the scholarship applicant is disadvantaged due to poverty, sickness, suffering or disability; 

    b) the scholarship applicant is deserving of a scholarship for reasons of merit; 

    c) the scholarship applicant is deserving of a scholarship for other reasons of equity; or 

    d) the scholarship applicant is deserving of a scholarship for one or more of the reasons listed in the APREF Constitution or any other reason as determined by the ATO or the Department of Education and Training’s Research and Higher Education Infrastructure Branch from time to time.


    Application process

    • Applicants are to apply by completing the API APREF 2022 Scholarships Application Form and attaching the required information.
    • Applications must be submitted by COB on 30 October 2021 to [email protected]
    • Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.
