Summary of Duties:

This position is to serve as Student Affairs Facilities and Operations Construction Project Manager/ Designer to manage work of Consultants, Contractors and WSU staff. Responsible for development and/or overseeing of the budget, construction and inspection of multiple capital projects for Public Works bids or construction by Student Affairs Facilities and Operations; staff oversight and leadership. Develop, schedule, and coordinate interior design specifications for new and modified housing and dining facilities. Coordinate and work with other trades and crafts in support of new or remodel construction. Operate motor vehicles as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field and five (5) or more years of professional architectural, engineering, or equivalent experience which has included demonstrated competence to perform coordination of planning, design, and/or construction of major capital improvement projects. Appropriate professional license and/or one (1) year of supervisory experience may be required. An additional two (2) years of progressively responsible, relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience exclusive of supervisory experience.

  • Four (4) years of project management experience. 

  • Must possess, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid Driver's License.

  • Ability to respond to an emergency outside normal business hours.
