Position Details:

As a member of the Washington State University Athletic Department team, you have the opportunity to serve over 450 student-athletes and 17 athletic programs. Summary of Duties:

This position is a member of the WSU Football program, with responsibilities relating to the operational and administrative support of the WSU Football program and the Cougar Football Complex. This position will serve as a point of contact for the WSU Football program, providing program specific information to students, staff, program participants and the public. This position will oversee staffing the CFC reception desks with student hourly employees. Additionally, this position will provide administrative support for the Head Football Coach, Chief of Staff, Director of Football Operations and the Gray W Legends Lounge including, but not limited to, scheduling, calendar management, travel logistics, office supply orders, etc.


Required Qualifications:

  • High School graduation or equivalent and two years of clerical experience; OR equivalent education/experience.

  • One (1) year of full-time experience in administrative support, customer service, OR equivalent education/experience.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Work experience that demonstrates ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, E-mail, database systems and mainframe computer systems with administrative projects.

  • Experience working as an assistant to an administrative position.

  • Experience working within higher education setting.

  • Experience working within an intercollegiate athletic department.

  • Work experience that demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks and perform sound decision-making.

  • Work experience that demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with co-workers and constituents.

  • Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license at time of hire.
