Summary of Duties:

Under the direction of the Associate Director of Athletics, Design Branding and Special Projects, this position works with staff to conceptualize, develop, design, and prepare original designs, graphic layouts, and images for a variety of social media platforms, publications and a wide gamut of design-related purposes for multiple applications. Provides professional, creative, and technical assistance to student design interns, and volunteer student staff. Designs, develops, creates, and produces graphic solutions for assigned departmental projects predominantly used for social media purposes. Works with the Associate Director of Athletics, Design, Branding and Special Projects to ensure departmental graphic identity program creativity, consistency, and compliance.


Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or BFA in Graphic Design, Digital Design, Digital Technology and Culture, or related field AND a minimum of three (3) years full-time experience in concept development and design of high quality promotional materials. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

  • Proficiency in design software including, but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Aftereffects). Proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with design and development of promotional materials.

  • Working occasional evenings or weekends

  • Experience working with NCAA, conference, university and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

  • A working knowledge of sports and intercollegiate athletics.

  • Work experience that demonstrates the ability to organize, prioritize multiple tasks, work in a fast-paced environment overseeing several projects in tandem and always meeting or exceeding project deadlines.

  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal relationship skills including work experience that demonstrates the ability to

  • work professionally and collaboratively with co-workers and constituents.

  • Work experience that demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks in tandem and perform sound decision-making with a positive and proactive attitude of professionalism.
