The research group of Dr. Joseph Galewsky in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the University of New Mexico is seeking motivated M.S. and PhD students to begin in the Fall semester of 2022.  The research projects will leverage recent advances in the analysis of the stable isotopic composition of atmospheric water vapor to better constrain the interplay between clouds, convection, and circulation, and their role in climate change.  The research projects will use in-situ and remote sensing measurements along with a variety of modeling techniques.  Students with interests in stable isotopes, the hydrologic cycle, clouds, and climate dynamics are encouraged to apply (Deadline January 5, 2022).  Interested students are encouraged to contact Dr. Joseph Galewsky ([email protected] ) to discuss specific research projects.  More information about the research group is available at http://www.unm.edu/~galewsky/ , and application details are available at http://eps.unm.edu/graduate/how-to-apply.html .  Prospective students are invited to attend an informational webinar and Q & A session with current EPS graduate students, faculty and research staff on November 17, 4-5 pm MDT or December 7, 9-10 am MDT.   Contact Dr. Galewsky for further details.
