Summary of Duties:

Under supervision of the Health Education Coordinator Lead and in collaboration with University Recreation and Global Campus, the Health Educator will implement inclusive, evidence-informed programs to support the mental, emotional, and physical health of students. Responsibilities include supporting development, coordination, and provision of health promotion programs for online students. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position requiring evening and weekend availability to support programming efforts.


Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.

  • Two years full time experience in health education and/or equivalent experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • Ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including public speaking/presenting and small group facilitation.

  • Available to work some nights and/or weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and administering recreational or health promotion programming to a culturally diverse population. 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of wellbeing issues affecting university students. 

  • Experience with program development and evaluation.
