As a member of the Washington State University Athletic Department team, you have the opportunity to serve over 450 student-athletes and 17 athletic programs. This Development Fiscal Specialist is a member of the WSU Cougar Athletic Fund staff, with responsibilities relating to the operational and administrative systems support of the CAF’s development operations. These responsibilities include leading gift processing and gift acknowledgement, donor data/information management, strategic planning and reporting systems, gift and pledge processing, and budgetary reporting. This position will oversee the management of the PacFund database including patron account records, system management, reporting, and finance.  This position will also be responsible for implementing strategic plans for the Gray W Varsity Club program; the incumbent coordinates cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of former WSU letter winners to be Gray W Club members, Cougar Athletic Fund members and season ticket purchasers. This position assists with the tracking of former letter winners in relation with Advancement Services and Paciolan, participates in coordination of Gray W special events, and develops, and tracks annual budget.
 

Required Qualifications:

  • Three years of fiscal record keeping experience; OR equivalent education/experience.

  • Strong organizational skills. 

  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, E-mail, database systems and mainframe computer systems with administrative projects.

  • Experience working within higher education setting.

  • Experience with researching interpreting policies and procedures.

  • Work experience that demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks and perform sound decision-making.

  • Work experience that demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with co-workers and constituents.

  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable rules and regulations, including State of Washington, Washington State University, Athletic Department, NCAA, and Pac-12 Conference rules and regulations.
