Summary of Duties:
Coordinate and perform cashier duties pertaining to student accounts and activities. Provide in-person customer service as a member of the Cougar Center one-stop team to facilitate recruitment, enrollment, and student retention for the university. Requires in-depth knowledge of university policies and procedures in order to serve students, both prospective and current, without referring students to another office for answers. Solid understanding and application of enrollment services policies related to student accounts, admissions, financial aid and registration. Ability to effectively communicate university and department policy information to a diverse audience. This position will also process student documents and track data.
Required Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience.
Cash handling experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates or bachelor’s degree.
Customer service experience in a higher education environment (financial aid, scholarships, student accounts, etc.)
Accurate and effective communication skills; both verbal and written.
Prefer experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint.
