Summary of Duties:

Plans and manages the day-to-day operations of the Business Office of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH). Oversees the development and maintenance of information and reporting systems, participates in the overall administrative management of the operation, and represents the Hospital Director, as required. Manages specifically designated service operations, as appropriate, including but not limited to: general Medical Records oversight, Customer Service, practice management software maintenance, security software oversight, Business Office personnel oversight, environmental conditions of the VTH Lobby and Business Office, budget oversight for the unit, and Business Office timeslip, and client conflict complaint resolution.

 
Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a field related to the functional managerial area which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in medical environment.

  • Experience with practice management software.

  • Experience with database management.

  • Experience with budgeting.
