The Department of Geosciences in the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at The University of Texas at Dallas is searching to fill up to three tenure-system faculty positions in the area of sustainable earth systems science. Sustainable earth systems science includes all earth science aspects of the complex dynamic interactions between the geosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, biosphere and atmosphere.
We are searching for candidates who are ‘best in class’ to develop exciting new research and teaching programs in sustainable earth systems science and natural resources, relevant to the state of Texas, as well as at national and international levels. Appointments may be at the level of Assistant, Associate, or in exceptional cases Full Professor. The appointees must have a PhD degree and have achieved (at the Associate and Full level) or have the potential to achieve (at the Assistant level) a significant record of research and scholarly publication in top-tier refereed journals.
