Summary of Duties:

This position is responsible for the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences’ (CPPS) re-accreditation project, which encompasses the coordination, preparation, and completion of the self-study document and collection of all materials necessary for the delivery of the self-study document to the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) by the submission deadline.  The incumbent will manage and oversee all aspects of the project dynamics, including monitoring project timelines, coordinating assignments of college section leaders, communicating with section committees, supporting development of materials, reviewing section drafts, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, compiling final product, and reporting progress to college leadership.  
This is a fixed term appointment which is expected to end on 08/31/2022.

Job Duties:

70% ACPE Self Study Project Management

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on complex accreditation requirements from ACPE and coordinate CPPS’s progress on the development of the Self-Study Document for ACPE.  Collaborate with Director to drive overall management of the study.
  • Develop and implement tracking system for all sections, subsections, and requirements of the self study.  Communicate milestones and deadlines to Section leaders.
  • Establish and implement the overall process for the completion of the Self-Study, making and evaluating improvements when necessary.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to Section leaders and committees to clarify expectations and updates to draft reports.
  • Communicate with external constituents as needed to collect necessary and related materials.
  • Develop and implement process for documentation management of materials and records.
  • Confirm and review collection of revisions and modifications, ensuring quality and timeliness. 
  • Coordinate and liaison information with various internal and external parties into a revision to present to the committee.
  • Request and collect necessary appendix materials. 

25% Self-Study Review Management

  • Develop and implement a formal review process of the Self-study by internal and external constituents.
  • Communicate with reviewers and provide deadlines for completion of evaluations and comments.
  • Consolidate evaluations, comments, and analyses for review by leadership.
  • Coordinate input and communication with various departments, committees, and project leads.
  • Validate necessary corrections to the section drafts.
  • Provide regular project status and updates to Section leaders, Director, and Dean. 

5% Miscellaneous

  • Perform other related duties as required.


Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Additional Requirements:

  • Three (3) years experience in project management and/or workflow management OR equivalent education.
  • Experience gathering, analyzing, and presenting information
  • Demonstrated experience working with confidential and/or sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Willingness to train with ACPE on accreditation requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a Health Sciences program in a university setting.  
  • Familiarity working with WSU`s administrative systems.
  • Familiarity with ACPE accreditation requirements
  • Experience in managing, tracking, and reporting program data.
