Our instructors of varying group fitness classes are an integral part of the Adult Fitness Program and proving community health outreach. Yoga instructors would be responsible for teaching one to two classes a week for a 45 or 60-minute length at the rate of $20-25/class. There is some flexibility in scheduling, but we generally hold class times around Mondays 6-7 p.m. and/or Friday 6:45-7:45 a.m. The Adult Fitness Program is located at the Glenn Morris Field House and will have the class taught in our upper gym area. These accommodations include counting, cueing, organizing class routine, additional use of equipment (if wanted), and providing plenty of modifications. Our classes are typically taught mostly to the low to moderate ranges of intensity and thinking of minimizing floor to standing transitions. Instructors need to provide clear and quality communication in both volume and pace for members to be able to effectively follow along.
We operate with the university schedule (not the academic) that we are open and hope to run classes not only during the school year/semester, but spring break, fall break, winter break and summer.
