YES-IDEAS is an adaptation of an evidence-based program (Youth Empowerment Solutions, or YES) that empowers youth to make positive changes in their communities and to work with adults to support their efforts. The goals of the YES program are to provide youth with opportunities for meaningful involvement in preventing youth violence and creating community change, enhance the ability of adults to support youth in an empowerment framework, and change the social and physical environment to reduce and prevent violence (especially youth violence). Under the direction of the Principal Investigator and in close collaboration with community partners and schools, the YES-IDEAS study coordinator will manage the YES-IDEAS research study, and assist with training for the YES program. You will receive mentoring from the Principal Investigator and PRC Managing Director and will work with faculty and staff on related youth violence prevention initiatives. This team member would have a commitment to contributing to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all members of our Prevention Research Collaborative.
