This position provides leadership support during  afterschool hours for up to 19 hours per week Monday through Thursday.

Liaison - 50
Liaison between the YES Director and the afterschool teaching staff , YES teachers and the school day teachers and administrators, and YES teachers and parents/guardians of student participants. Works with afterschool teachers and parents/guardians of youth participants to meet the academic goals and objectives of the YES Program to increase participant academic achievement, on-time promotion, and graduation.

Administrative Support - 50
Assisting the Director with recruitment and selection of students; collecting student records; overseeing the daily site operations; supervising all site staff, including teachers, enrichment specialists, tutors, volunteers, and site assistant working with school administration and day school teachers to ensure that the afterschool program is in alignment with the day school program working with afterschool teachers to oversee common planning for academic staff and culmination activities for enrichment activities working with staff to ensure that lesson plans target individual student success ensuring the YES Program has access to computer-assisted technologies and other online programs as described in the grant application preparing and conducting staff meetings and professional development trainings from YES site staff; creating a monthly calendar of activities; participating in training and professional development workshops

Educational Requirements
Bachelors degree
Other Required Qualifications
Must be able to satisfy a FBI national criminal background check and/or drug screen.
Required Experience
Minimum of 3 years of classroom experience and has documented work history with after-school programs.  Uncertified applicants must  have a demonstrated work history in  out-of-school or afterschool programs and knowledge of the state and district academic standards/assessments.

Preferred Educational Qualifications
State of Georgia Teaching Certificate or eligible for a Georgia State Teaching Certificate.

Knowledge in standards-based teaching, computer-assisted technology, and performance  assessment.

Ability to differentiate instruction and demonstrate and ability to display a joy of teaching as an intellectual profession. Must be able to foster trust and team work with various groups.
