Job Title:  Business Services Working Retiree - Finance Specialist

This position is internal to University of Colorado ORP retirees.

Job Summary:

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking an individual to provide operational and administrative support to the Division Section Administrator(s). This position will perform general financial and administrative functions for the division or programs. Functions include budgeting, reporting, analysis, managerial accounting, labor planning, procurement, and contracting. This position is for a Part-time Finance Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Assist Division Administrator with monthly reconciliation of Division programs and projects

·       Prepare Financial Reporting files for Division Leadership and Faculty

·       Assist Division Administrator in completion of PETs and JEs

·       Support/Assist in Division budgeting and forecasting

·       Additional duties as assigned

 

Work Location:

Remote – this role is eligible to work remotely, but the employee must be in the United States.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

        A bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.

o   A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.

        Two (2) years of professional, progressively responsible experience in finance and/or business management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

        Three (3) or more years of administration and/or office management experience in an academic and/or healthcare setting.

        One (1) year of experience with budgeting and managing clinical financials.

        Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, with advanced skills in Excel.

        Proficiency with CU programs (CU Marketplace, Concur Travel & Expense, HCM, PeopleSoft Finance, Axiom).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

        Knowledge of FIN/Market Place, HCM, AX (preferred), CUData

        Strong problem-solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

        Excellent time management and organization skills.

        Excellent attention to detail.

        Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

        Ability to work independently, be flexible, build and maintain positive working relationships.

        A demonstrated ability to organize and complete complex projects and to work under tight deadlines.

        Demonstrate professionalism, strong work ethic and commitment to high standards.

        Knowledge of various CU, CU Medicine, UCH and University policies, rules and regulations pertaining to financial matters.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as $35/Hr.

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
