Penn State Behrend is seeking a Workforce Education Outreach Coordinator (Education Program Associate 3) position that will build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to advance opportunities to engage with Behrend faculty, staff and students. This includes industry, workforce and economic development groups and non-profit agencies and will foster relationships with Penn State faculty and staff. This position will identify, develop, and implement activities related to increasing industry and external engagement with the College primarily through education and training. This role is expected to partner with other subject matter experts across the state to enhance and develop new methods of delivery and programming. This position will also coordinate special projects, represent unit at forums, and venues related to workforce and economic development. The successful candidate will possess organizational and project planning skills with demonstrated written and presentation skills. Candidate must be willing to travel and work a variety of hours including some evenings and weekends. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The preferred candidate will have previous experience with grant writing to seek proposals and submit request for proposals (RFPs) to secure funding for related programs as deemed appropriate. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. This is a fixed-term position funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
