Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus is the regional provider for technical and career education, offering more than 25 programs with a variety of industry specific options, as well as certificates of proficiency, technical certificates, associate degrees and general education coursework. The Ozark Campus is located on I-40 between Fort Smith and Russellville, Arkansas, in the city of Ozark. The campus, which is more than 26 acres and includes a half-mile exercise path and disc golf course, is located along Arkansas Highway 23 North in Ozark, Arkansas. The city of Ozark, with a population of approximately 3,500, is located on the banks of the Arkansas River and surrounded to the north by the Ozark National Forest and to the south by the Ouachita National Forest. Located to the west of Ozark is the city of Fort Smith, a commercial and industrial center for western Arkansas. Russellville, home to Arkansas Tech University's main campus and an area of vigorous industrial development, is located to the southeast of Ozark on Interstate 40.

Position Summary:

The Workforce Education Instructor and Clinical Coordinator for Physical Therapy Assistant at ATU Ozark provides leadership and effective instruction in the PTA program.  The position responsibilities include classroom, clinical, and lab instruction, maintenance of classroom records, advisement of students, service on campus committees, leadership in the PTA program including student recruitment and program excellence, communication with representatives in the field, and adherence to accreditation standards.  The position reports to the Chief Academic Officer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 - Provide development, organization, management, and instruction of the program.

- Provide support and leadership to establish goals (short and long term) and anticipate future needs for the program that comply with the mission and vision of the College, department, and health care profession.
- Provide quality instruction to ensure compliance with program outcomes.
- Support the implementation and analysis of recommendations from the Advisory Committee.
-Participate in and uphold all professional duties including attendance at meetings, meeting deadlines, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Contemporary working knowledge of Physical Therapy profession and practice
Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills
Strong time management, organizational, and public speaking skills
Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate a growth mindset
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (occasionally)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with commitment to earn a Master's Degree or Pursuing a Master's Degree.
Current Arkansas Physical Therapist License.
A minimum of 5 years, full-time, post licensure experience that includes a minimum of 3 years of full-time clinical experience.
Didactic and/or clinical teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree or Pursuing a Master's Degree.
Experience in administration/management.
Experience in educational theory and methodology, instructional design, student evaluation and outcome assessment; including the equivalent of nine academic credits of coursework in educational foundations.

Work Location, Environment, and Physical Demands:

This position is located at Arkansas Tech University – Ozark Campus in Ozark, Arkansas.
Must be able to stand for long periods, and lift 50 pounds occasionally.
