Description

New in select Vermont State Parks this year is a Workcamping opportunity. Duties are similar to Park Attendants - customer service, working with a team or independently on general maintenance and grounds keeping and/or park office duties such as day use fee collection and campground reservations; additionally Workcampers may provide some after-hours emergency contact for campers. Housing is provided for Workcamping positions in the form of a campsite (services may vary depending on location); employee needs to furnish their own fully enclosed camping unit. Weekend work most likely required. Perks include free camping, fishing licenses and free admission to Vermont attractions. Opportunities Available: Southeast Allis (Water, 20 amp electric) Camp Plymouth Jamaica Quechee Southwest Mt. Philo (Full hookups, 20 amp electric) Woodford Northwest Alburgh Dunes (Water, limited electric) Lake Carmi North Hero (water/electric site with holding tank, work at Alburgh Dunes or Knight Point) Knight Point (Full hookups) Burton Island (30 amp power, 35 ft or less) BOAT SLIP – not accessible by motor vehicle (no RV’s) Northeast Brighton Maidstone

Qualifications

All jobs are temporary positions and as such do not have a comprehensive benefits package such as paid vacation or health insurance. Beginning September 15, 2021, all State of Vermont Executive Branch employees (including all parks seasonal employees) must attest to being fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus or be subject to regular COVID-19 testing and masking requirements.
