Sustainable Aquaponics Research Center
Job Summary
The Work Study Student will support the Sustainable Aquaponics Research Center (SARC) aquaponics greenhouse and laboratory as a Facilities Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2024.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities
- Collects data
- Monitors facilities
- Maintains aquarium
- Assists in lab and with research
- Assists with general maintenance
- Assists in fish husbandry, plant care and harvesting
Shift Specifics
- Up to 20 hours per week
- Flexible with schedule of availability
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
Other Required Qualifications
- Must be Federal Work eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with aquarium systems and/or gardening.
Proposed Salary
$9.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
