Job Summary
The Work Study Student will support the Office of Career and Professional Development on the Armstrong Campus beginning Summer 2024.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities
- Assists students in utilizing print and electronic career resources available through the department
- Reviews and critiques resumes for students and alumni (with training)
- Promotes the department at career fairs, orientations, and related tabling events
- Greets visitors both in person and via phone
- Responds to phone calls and departmental emails
- Assists with appointment scheduling
- Compiles materials for presentations and events
- Ensures main office areas are appropriately maintained and that supplies are organized and readily available
- Works cooperatively with student assistants from other departments in the shared workspace
Shift Specifics
- Shifts scheduled during normal business hours (8AM-5PM).
- Flexible scheduling depending on student's class schedule and departmental needs.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
Other Required Qualifications
- Must be Federal Work eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience
- Prior customer service or administrative experience
- Prior training or experience using Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite, with particular emphasis on document design and editing
Proposed Salary
$10.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
