- Assist Wildlife Property Technicians with the habitat management and maintenance on multiple State Wildlife Areas and State Trust Lands. Management will include maintenance of multiple wetland complexes, as well as, upland bird and big game habitat. Primary duties include the use of ATVs, tractors, heavy equipment, and agricultural implements to plant and manipulate habitat, manage noxious weeds, and manipulate or maintain water delivery for wetland complexes. Other duties include welding and fabrication, equipment maintenance, and general property upkeep. Technicians must be willing to travel and work in inclement weather. Some late night/weekend/holiday shifts will be required.
- Qualifications
- Emphasis will be placed on candidates who are pursuing a career in the fields of natural resources or agriculture and who have experience operating farm machinery and/or heavy equipment. Successful applicants must have a valid Driver’s License NOTE: Effective September 20, 2021, employees will be required to attest to and verify that they are fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Employees who have not been fully vaccinated will be required to submit to twice-weekly serial testing. Testing details will be provided during the onboarding process. Upon hire, new employees will have three (3) business days to provide attestation to their status with proof of vaccination, or begin twice-weekly serial testing for COVID-19. Testing will be considered paid work time. Note: Fully Vaccinated means two (2) weeks after a second dose in a two-dose series of the COVID-19 vaccine, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or two (2) weeks after the single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine, as defined by the State of Colorado’s Public Health Order and guidance issued by the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment.
